First KLM A321neo performs maiden flight ahead of delivery

KLM’s first Airbus A321neo aircraft performed its maiden flight on August 1, 2024. In a post on its social media channels , the Dutch flag carrier announced that its first ever Airbus narrow-body aircraft had conducted a test flight out of the manufacturer’s facilities at Finkenwerder airport (XFW), near Hamburg.

Saudi Arabia’s startup international carrier Riyadh Air has announced that the airline intends to start pre-certification flights in September 2024 and remains on track to commence scheduled passenger services in the middle of 2025. 2024, the airline’s order for narrowbody jets should be done “within the next weeks”.
