Mike began doing “minor” restorations on Stearmans, such as aileron recovery, wingtip repairs, and ground loop damage remediation. The cockpit of the PT-17 is more streamlined, has a better layout, and is overall more comfortable than earlier biplane aircraft. This PT-17 has also opened many doors, or cockpits, for Mike.
