TARMAC Aerosave launches consumer brand of upcycled aircraft parts

The 2025 Paris Air Show was the occasion chosen by TARMAC Aerosave to launch a new brand of upcycled non-airworthy aircraft parts repurposed for several non-aviation uses. France-based TARMAC Aerosave is a joint venture between Airbus and Safran. These objects will also be made available to museums and training centers.

EasyJet A320 flight diverts to Athens after captain becomes incapacitated

Upon landing, emergency response teams, including fire engines, police, and paramedics, were waiting on the tarmac to assist the crew and passengers. The aircraft safely touched down on runway 03L approximately one hour later. The Captain was taken for medical attention.

Airbus selects VAS for Lufthansa and Malaysia Airlines A380 teardowns

VAS will manage the teardown of the aircraft through its partnership with Tarmac Aerosave which is based in Tarbes, France. Both Luthansa Airbus A380s, registered D-AIME and D-AIMF, were withdrawn from service in 2020 and placed in storage, while the Malaysia Airlines A380, registered 9M-MNC, was also stored in 2020.
