The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) has announced the delivery of the first C909 aircraft to Lao Airlines on March 30, 2025. It has been leased to Lao Airlines and will begin operations after completing necessary preparations in Laos. Lao Airlines is currently expanding its capacity and renewing its fleet.

An American Airlines A321-200 was damaged on Monday evening after a tail strike upon landing at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The aircraft was still able to taxi to its gate after vacating the runway, and all passengers disembarked without injury. The aircraft has been parked at Charlotte since the incident.

Air New Zealand’s first retrofitted Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner officially touched down in Auckland, New Zealand, on April 16, 2025, the airline announced in a statement. According to the Auckland-based carrier, the aircraft, ZK-NZH, is the first in the airline’s 7879 fleet to undergo this world-first, full nose-to-tail retrofit.

On May 22, a Eurowings Europe Malta Airbus A320-200 operating flight EW-6838 from Palma de Mallorca to Paderborn made a go-around on final approach, during which the aircraft's tail contacted the runway, as reported by The Aviation Herald. The aircraft landed safely on a second attempt, and emergency services attended to it upon arrival.
