A few minutes later, we heard the center controller clear a Trans Missouri Airlines commuter plane for the VOR Runway 30 approach to Jefferson City. It would also require a descent to 2,200 feet before crossing the outer marker. I reasoned that it flies at 110 mph, so why be a test pilot for Cessna now? I didnt know.

ATC was in communication with the pilot, as the airplane entered several right- and left-hand banks and rolls and entered a steep descent while in a bank angle. ATC asked the pilot to verify his heading. It is part of the airline company operating procedures. The aircraft then entered a series of banks and turns.

Seems the accident helicopter was the subject of a FAA Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR), which specified academic, flight training, qualification, and currency requirements for pilots acting as pilot-in-command. Airlines of all flags have shared woes recently. Thats FA tenacity.
