Images of the same American Airlines aircraft were captured in 2024, when only the had been tail painted in the carriers distinctive colors.

The aircraft was still able to taxi to its gate after vacating the runway, and all passengers disembarked without injury. The aircraft has been parked at Charlotte since the incident.
