PIREPs Some weather information would have come from Pilot Reports (PIREPs), such as cloud bases and tops. Some other information that ATC could provide would be turbulence or icing that came from PIREPs. Special Use Airspace Flight following can advise pilots about Special Use Airspace (SUA).
