Descent Point Nominate a descent point that will give you a constant 3° profile to the threshold. We can calculate the rate of descent required to achieve a 3° profile. Add a zero to this number, and you have your target rate of descent. Add a zero, and that gives you a 400ft target rate of descent. Good question.
