Even after stretching the fuselage and adding so-called family seats to the S35 V-tail model, the Bonanza wasn’t capable of seating six full-sized adults. But the 1968 model year brought a true six-place Bonanza with aft cabin doors and a conventional tail. With an annual inspection due in a month, it was priced at $220,000.

Paired with a four-blade Hartzell composite propeller and certified for flight into known icing (FIKI), this SR22T is well equipped for cross-country travel in a wide range of conditions.

The 4th flew AC -47s from bases like Na Tranh, Bien Thuy, and Da Nang, and all of those aircraft carried a two-character alpha tail code on the tail, with a three-digit numeric underneath. The veterans were clear in their opinion: the OS tail code did not resonate with them.

A factory anniversary livery applied in 2007 remains vibrant with minimal wear. Pitot static and transponder checks are valid through this month and the aircraft holds a clean damage history.

Annual 3 Tango Charlie is tucked in the shop at New Garden for her annual inspection. I needed a tail nav light replaced. I appreciate the shop adding the camguard for me since I forgot to bring it with me for annual. I dropped the plane off on Friday and work began on Monday morning.
