While grumpily snapping off switches during the shut down flow, I reached for the avionics master switch and noticed for the first time that the ship's ammeter was pegged at zero. According to the official Cherokee Warrior II Information Manual, the recommended approach speed with full flaps is 63 knots.

About two minutes after takeoff, it was at 2,900 msl with a heading of 090 and a ground speed of 200 knots, but the pilot had yet to check in with Nashville. After reaching 2,900 feet, the Citation had begun to descend, its airspeed rising to 290 knots. It was in a 120-degree left bank when it hit the water at 350 knots.
