Damp Lease is which the lessor (owner) provides the aircraft, maintainence of the aircraft and flight crew. However, cabin crew and insurance will not be provided. The airline that is leasing the aircraft will provide its own cabin crew and will be trained before being allowed to work on these leased aircraft.

The cabin crew at the rear seemed nice and seeing that she was in a good mood as her friend was on board (it was quite obvious), I asked her whether I could switch to a window seat as the last few rows were vacant. We had a bit of turbulence during our climb and for most parts of the journey, the flight was smooth.

The turbulence was not as bad as what I was anticipating and for most parts of the flight, it was smooth. Cabin crew came around to do the BOB (Buy On Board) service and this time, we noticed someone ordering water and wasn't charged so we did the same. Off we go, fortunately it wasn't turbulent. For most parts of the flight, it was smooth with just a bit of turbulence during the way out of Changi and on approach to Shanghai. Once we started our descent, the cabin crew appeared and at least they did their job by checking everyone is buckle up before they made their way to their seats.

The cabin was run by the chief purser and four cabin crew. When he escorted the two passengers to the aircraft, one of the cabin crew gave him a cup of coffee and wished him a nice evening before they closed the doors again. In the cockpit were three flight crew: two pilots and a flight engineer.
