The airport layout of CDG airport This airport consists of 4 runways, (08L/26R, 08R/26L, 09L/27R and 09R/27L) and was opened in March 1974. However after pushing back while on the way to the runway, I managed to see some deicing action on an Easyjet A321 aircraft. At this point, we reached the threshold of the runway.

This airport is a hub for Iberia, Level, Air Nostrum and Vueling and operates 3 runways, 06L/24R, 06R/24L and 02/20. Currently the airport has 2 runways 17L/35R and 17R/35L and operates 2 terminals. We entered the runway. This airport consists of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2A, 2B and 2C. This is Fundacio Teatre Lilure.

Once my booking was confirmed, I was offered some duty free items sold at a discount and I can order them before the flight and the cabin crew were delivered to me during the flight. Once our engines were started, we were given clearance to taxi and head towards the runway. It was soon our turn as we entered the active runway.

After a smooth take-off, it didn't take long for our aircraft to reach 10,000 feet and immediately the cabin crew were released to start the service. This set of Japanese crew were nice and I was able to communicate with them without issueas. As we flew through some clouds during the descent, we encountered a few bumps.

The cabin crew generally was nice and I interacted with one asking her what she thinks about this aircraft and from her response she wasn't enthusiastic about working on it and I can understand why. At this point, we started our descent into Hat Yai. We touched down on this single runway airport ahead of schedule.

Once again, an announcement from the flight crew was made but it was difficult to hear what he was saying as it sounded like another voice in the background (could be the other pilot talking to the ATC) and also the cabin crew made some important announcement including a reminder to us about the consequences if we fail to follow the rules.

The airline that is leasing the aircraft will provide its own cabin crew and will be trained before being allowed to work on these leased aircraft.

In addition, the airport has 2 runways, runway 10/28 and 16/34 and operates 2 terminals. For business class, they take up the first front rows of the cabin with the middle seat blocked and have a better legroom space of 32 inches. With a minute ahead of schedule, we pushed back and made our way to the departure runway.

When we reached our aircraft, we were the first batch to board so that gave me a chance to explore the cabin. Anyway, once I settled down, the cabin crew came to distribute the menu and also an amenity kit. Once all the passengers settled down and the crew completed the pre-departure checklists, we were on our way.

We taxied towards runway 16L. Rolling down the runway. Flying past runway 23/05. The city of Tokyo After flying for sometime, there were clouds below us and at this point, we started our descent. We touched down on runway 01R. Off we go, it was a typical powerful 767 take off. The lovely view of Tokyo.

Just like ITA's A220 cabin, the leather seats are quite comfortable but the legroom space is slightly better on this aircraft. The cabin crew announced to us to seat at our allocated seat which I assumed that this is needed for balancing issue for this aircraft. Our taxi to the runway took around 10 minutes. Not long after, we started our descent into Subang Airport. On final approach to SZB's runway 15.

This time, both of the engines were started after pushed back so no PTU (Power Transfer Unit) - 'barking' noise was heard during our taxi to the runway. It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. The 2 hours flight in this cabin was certainly comfortable.

Once that was cleared, the cabin crew were released for duty. Like my previous flights, a set of crew would come around with a camera offering complimentary polaroid photos for the passengers and not surprisingly, they went past me. There are lavatories between the Economy Class cabin.

Once we started our descent, the cabin crew appeared and at least they did their job by checking everyone is buckle up before they made their way to their seats. Our taxi to the runway didn't take long. My last trip to Shanghai was with Thai Airways Airbus A330-300 from PVG to BKK and that was more than 15 years ago.

While taxing to the runway, it started raining and off we went! Cabin crew came around to do the BOB (Buy On Board) service and this time, we noticed someone ordering water and wasn't charged so we did the same. Once we reached the runway, it started pouring. At this point, we started our descent into LHR airport.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day). What else I noted about this flight is the cabin crew made a birthday announcement wishing a 17 years old passenger, a happy birthday (I wonder whether she received anything from the crew - SQ does offer birthday cakes but you need to request in advance) and our first officer on this flight was a female.

The cabin crew were great as they came around many times during the flight to serve water and of course the 2 meals we received. At this point, we started our descent into Changi Airport. We were on final approach onto runway 02L, greeted by the familar sighting of the Eastern part of Singapore.

Airbus has incorporated an auto emergency descent feature in its A350-1000, which will fly the aircraft to an altitude where theres enough breathing oxygen. Any passenger can press this guarded switch on the cabin ceiling, then the aircraft will calculate where the next suitable runway is, and will land there automatically.

This is seat 46A, I moved to this seat just before we started the descent into Frankfurt. The reason is that the nice cabin crew offered to move my seat mate which she accepted to the front so that she could get off as soon as she can to catch her connecting flight. During our descent to CPH, there was a sudden and noticeable increase in altitude, and the cabin crew announced that our landing had been aborted. Or it could be that a plane just takes several seconds too long to clear the runway, because it doesnt exit at a certain taxiway.

The airport currently has 2 terminals in operation with a 3rd terminal currently being built and has 2 runways 05L/23R and 05R/23L, with a 3rd runway being built to manage the increased traffic once the new terminal starts operation. With 2 runways, (12L/30R and 12R/30L), both runways have sufficent runway length to be able to cope with the heaviest and biggest aircraft, the A380 and Boeing 747-8F. The cabin crew on this flight was certainly better than the previous flight, the ones I met in the lower deck were friendly and helpful.
