After a smooth climb towards our assigned flight level and direction, the friendlier cabin crew (compared to my previous flight) came around to start the service and once again we were given a snack and a choice of beverage. Descending was also quite turbulent with gusty winds happening during our descent and approach into HND airport but luckily for us, it didn't cause any disruption to our flight (flight diversion). What I don't understand about this flight though is why they didn't dim the lights during take-off and landing, so it was bright cabin from the departure gate to the arrival gate. For the rest of the flight, the weather was good and we had a smooth landing at Okinawa later, arriving at the airport about 19 minutes ahead of schedule.

Once my booking was confirmed, I was offered some duty free items sold at a discount and I can order them before the flight and the cabin crew were delivered to me during the flight. The announcement were made by both the flight crew and flight purser. You can also select a 2nd meal but you have to pay for it.

After a smooth take-off, it didn't take long for our aircraft to reach 10,000 feet and immediately the cabin crew were released to start the service. This set of Japanese crew were nice and I was able to communicate with them without issueas. As we flew through some clouds during the descent, we encountered a few bumps.

The cabin crew generally was nice and I interacted with one asking her what she thinks about this aircraft and from her response she wasn't enthusiastic about working on it and I can understand why. Just took off in this dreadful weather. The weather didn't look too bad. At this point, we started our descent into Hat Yai.

Once again, an announcement from the flight crew was made but it was difficult to hear what he was saying as it sounded like another voice in the background (could be the other pilot talking to the ATC) and also the cabin crew made some important announcement including a reminder to us about the consequences if we fail to follow the rules.

Damp Lease is which the lessor (owner) provides the aircraft, maintainence of the aircraft and flight crew. However, cabin crew and insurance will not be provided. The airline that is leasing the aircraft will provide its own cabin crew and will be trained before being allowed to work on these leased aircraft.

When we reached our aircraft, we were the first batch to board so that gave me a chance to explore the cabin. Anyway, once I settled down, the cabin crew came to distribute the menu and also an amenity kit. Once all the passengers settled down and the crew completed the pre-departure checklists, we were on our way.

It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. Some nice Indian music was being played before take off and landing, I thought that was nice, it somehow helps to calm one nerves especially when flying through turbulent weather. The pillow added extra comfort for me.

The weather was cooling and it was a great day for walk. Once that was cleared, the cabin crew were released for duty. Like my previous flights, a set of crew would come around with a camera offering complimentary polaroid photos for the passengers and not surprisingly, they went past me. Not long after, we started our descent into Subang Airport. We hit some light turbulence during our descent. It was not a bad day for flying.

On the day of departure Even though we had plenty of time before our flight departure, we decided to head to the airport early as dragging our cabin baggage across the footpath was not ideal. Just like ITA's A220 cabin, the leather seats are quite comfortable but the legroom space is slightly better on this aircraft. The cabin crew announced to us to seat at our allocated seat which I assumed that this is needed for balancing issue for this aircraft. After a few turns, we headed towards the direction of France.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day). Once we were on our way, we flew through a bit of turbulence but once the weather was better, the seat belt sign was turned off. That's a good idea!

Simpler stations could only be used if the landing of the aircraft is automatic, which would require a fully autonomous aircraft system capability, even in unfavorable weather and terrain conditions. In case of incapacitation, the cabin crew will have to open the cockpit to help the flying pilot.

What else I noted about this flight is the cabin crew made a birthday announcement wishing a 17 years old passenger, a happy birthday (I wonder whether she received anything from the crew - SQ does offer birthday cakes but you need to request in advance) and our first officer on this flight was a female. Thanks for the memories.

This is seat 46A, I moved to this seat just before we started the descent into Frankfurt. The reason is that the nice cabin crew offered to move my seat mate which she accepted to the front so that she could get off as soon as she can to catch her connecting flight. Good weather sometimes give you beautiful view like this.

During our descent to CPH, there was a sudden and noticeable increase in altitude, and the cabin crew announced that our landing had been aborted. Ive heard of aborted landings due to weather conditions, but this is the first time I have encountered an aborted landing due to another aircraft.

The captain came to do the announcement and reported fine weather for most parts of the journey except around Singapore where it would be slightly bumpy during the descent.

What excites me about this trip with GOL is that I finally caught my first 737 MAX ride and also enjoyed the splendid view from Rio De Janeiro to Sao Paulo although the weather was not the best. Therefore it is common for flight delays in departure and arrival especially if the weather is bad. Since these aircraft were already installed with Aeroflot's cabin interior and configuration, the Indian airline decided to make some minor changes and that also means the airline didn't have to wait long to take delivery of the 6 aircraft.
