After a smooth climb towards our assigned flight level and direction, the friendlier cabin crew (compared to my previous flight) came around to start the service and once again we were given a snack and a choice of beverage. The flying condition towards Barcelona was nice and there was hardly any turbulence on this flight.

Not long after settling into my seat, a cabin crew came to a few of us who had pre-booked our meals online to confirm our order. There was some turbulence during the climb but nothing bad at all. The cabin crew were finishing off their duty by doing some last minute checks. We started rolling down the runway.

The Captain made his announcement and gave us update on the weather on route and for the announcments by the cabin crew, it was done in 5 languages including the Taiwanese dialect. Take off was slightly turbulent but eventually the weather improved after flying out of Japan. This is the second cabin of the economy class.

We took off with a few bumps here and there and more turbulence happening when we flew through the clouds during our climb. It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. The 2 hours flight in this cabin was certainly comfortable. We entered the runway 25.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day). Announcement was made by the Captain about our flight which we would to expect some turbulence especially along the way but no mention about the flight delay.
