After a smooth climb towards our assigned flight level and direction, the friendlier cabin crew (compared to my previous flight) came around to start the service and once again we were given a snack and a choice of beverage. Look at how lovely the weather was that morning. At this point, we reached the threshold of the runway.

The Captain made his announcement and gave us update on the weather on route and for the announcments by the cabin crew, it was done in 5 languages including the Taiwanese dialect. Take off was slightly turbulent but eventually the weather improved after flying out of Japan. This is the second cabin of the economy class.

It took a while before the seatbelt sign was turned off and the crew started preparing for in-flight service. Some nice Indian music was being played before take off and landing, I thought that was nice, it somehow helps to calm one nerves especially when flying through turbulent weather. Here we are, we have reached the threshold.

Once on board, I noticed a cabin crew was serving champagne on a plastic cup and was pleasantly surprised I was given one, I suppose because of the occasion (New Year's Day). Once we were on our way, we flew through a bit of turbulence but once the weather was better, the seat belt sign was turned off. That's a good idea!
