Probable cause(s): The pilot’s failure to maintain clearance from trees after takeoff, during high density altitude weather conditions. The postaccident examination revealed a fuel leak in a fitting where the fuel line passes through the firewall to the engine. About 20 seconds later, the left engine fuel flow reduced to zero.

Pretty much the only metal parts are the landing gear legs, stainless firewalls, engine mounts, engines and hardware. Climbs and descents were normal, and while not stunning, it seemed like this airplane could carry a load up and over the hills if needed—even though it is designed to operate down low.
