Doug Matthews in the cockpit of the F-86 Sabre ” Skyblazers” Matthews spent 11 years flying for Delta Air Lines, piloting the DC-9, DC-8, B-727, and L-1011. He also established Georgias second airline, Flight International Airlines, and built the largest Fixed Base Operator (FBO) in the state, now part of Signature Aviation.

On the 3rd of March 2023, a passenger in a private jet died after severe injuries in the cabin, which were originally reported as caused by severe turbulence. He was interrupted when an employee of the fixed base operator arrived with ice for the aircraft’s bar. He checked the probe for damage but it looked fine.
