Four unions to strike at Helsinki Airport, Finnair warns of flight disruptions

Three Finnish trade unions, along with the Finnish Transport Workers’ Union (AKT), have announced a joint plan to hold a two-hour political strike at Helsinki Airport (HEL). Finnair has confirmed in a statement that the industrial action will take place on March 27, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 local time. The strike will coincide with Finnairs annual general meeting for 2025, which is scheduled from 15:00 local time the same day.

The FAA has released a 36-page decision on a complaint filed by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), joined by local pilots and aviation businesses, against the County of Santa Clara, California. The decision finds that the countys 2022 prohibition of 100LL aviation fuel violated its federal airport grant obligations. The county agreed to those obligations when it accepted approximately $6.8 million in funding between 1983 and 2011.

Lithuanian prosecutors suspect human error in DHL Vilnius crash, probe continues

The Prosecutor Generals Office of Lithuania has stated that the crash of a DHL cargo aircraft in Vilnius in late November 2024 was likely due to human error, based on all currently available evidence. On March 26, 2025, the Lithuanian Prosecutor’s Office released a statement indicating that, during the pre-trial investigation of the crash, they reached out to the relevant Spanish authorities and asked for essential investigative steps to be carried out.
