Just days after announcing plans to cease operations, electric aircraft manufacturer, Lilium, has found a buyer in Mobile Uplift Corporation GmbHa coalition of European and North American investors. The German electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) company announced the news on Tuesday noting that the deal is expected to enable its two subsidiaries to secure the funding needed to resume operations and hire back the nearly 1,000 employees it let go.

There were almost a dozen shrink-wrapped pallets of boxes sitting on the rain soaked ramp at Ted Stevens International Airport (ANC) in Anchorage, Alaska. The address labels indicated that all of the packages were bound for the general store in Stebbins, Alaska. Everything from toilet paper and paper towels to dog food and candy were on these pallets.

Commercial aviation is incredibly safe, and there are often long periods of time where we dont see any fatal accidents. Unfortunately yesterday wasnt one of those days, as an Azerbaijan Airlines jet bound for Russia diverted to Kazakhstan, where it crashed, killing dozens. While it has only been around 36 hours since the tragedy, a lot of details are emerging, with Reuters now reporting that the jet was downed by a Russian air defense system.
