Air India has expressed deep concern and anguish following an “unlawful incident of intrusion” and an attack on one of its flight attendants at a hotel near London-Heathrow International Airport (LHR). The female crew member was asleep when an intruder entered her room around 01:30 local time, The Times of India reported. She was startled awake and screamed for help.

Last week, Queensland's Brisbane Airport announced that construction is commencing on the new Aeromedical Precinct located between the airport's two parallel runways. I was standing in the shallow water beside my Cessna 182 amphibious floatplane, which had carried us into the majestic Alaskan backcountry and was now the source of my concern. As I waded through the muddy water, it was becoming obvious that the remote lake near Ketchikan had conspired with the lesser gods of fortune to ruin our day.

It was July 11, 1973. Varig flight 820 had completed the first leg of the trip from So Paulo to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. From there they would fly onwards to Orly Airport, Paris, France and finally onto London, England. The Boeing 707 had 117 passengers and 17 crew members onboard. This was a flight that would change cabin safety regulations so much so, that such an event could not happen ever again.

Gulfstream has flown its G400 test article for the first time, adding the low-end bookend for its range of big-cabin business jets. The program was announced in 2021 along with the ultra long range G800, which flew in 2022 but has not yet been certified thanks to delays caused by COVID and FAA changes in response to the Boeing MAX issues. Gulfstream is trying to get it certifies before the end of the year.
