Its clear that something wasnt right in the flight deck of that helicopter, between the Captain and Warrant Officer seemingly having different altitude readings without addressing that (despite the importance of exact altitude in this airspace), and the Warrant Officer suggesting a left turn, but the Captain just proceeding on course.

The G5000 STC yields the same flight deck that was standard in a new Citation X, Latitude, Longitude, Sovereign, and sister product (the Garmin G3000) in smaller Citation CJ3+ and M2 light jets. Compared to some of the ancient avionics in the flight decks of some older jets, the Avidyne Atlas is worlds ahead.

ADFs, marker beacons, and VOR receivers, each relying on a constantly shrinking population of land-based navaids, fill these dated flight decks. Or maybe I just like the round dial airspeed indicator, conveniently located at the top left of the panel, right in my field of view, as I make a left turn to base or final approach.
