I was fortunate to be able to enjoy such good weather on that day. Our aircraft pushed back on time and the Captain made the usual welcome speech and also told us to expect some turbulence along the way. Off we go, taking off in this beautiful weather. We had some turbulence along the way but nothing bad.

At this point, it was on final approach into New Chitose Airport. Anyway, the Captain updated us on our flight and that includes a warning of turbulence around a particular timing and so far they have been quite accurate. The flying condition towards Barcelona was nice and there was hardly any turbulence on this flight. Anyway, for the rest of the flight, the approach and landing was a smooth affair. Look at how lovely the weather was that morning. The rain got a bit heavy at one point but it was hardly turbulent. Touched down!

It was nice to hear the Captain making announcement before departure and he warned us of some expected turbulence during our descent towards HND. I continued to observe the cabin and I find the crew's interaction with the passengers to be quite pleasant and when there was turbulence, announcments were made to remind us.

We took off about 45 minutes after our schedule departure time and it was quite windy as we hit some turbulence during our climb. It got a bit intense that I had to hold on to the seat in front of me due to the updraft and downdraft motion while flying through clear air turbulence. Off we go in this beautiful weather.

To demonstrate this magnificent place, I chose horrendously gusty winds by manually editing the weather in both X-Plane 12 (XP12) and MSFS2020. Left downwind on a blustery day with live weather actually shows a virga burst over the field, with local winds gusting 36 knots, making for some extreme conditions in such a tight canyon.

Anyway we were informed about the turbulence and for this flight, the first officer did the announcements. At this point, we were on final approach. Almost there!

Weather was good along the way but the closer we got to our destination, the worse the weather below. At Shefferville , the weather was really bad in rain and landed via the RNP runway 17… the airport was completely empty ! We also checked the weather and saw that we could expect CBs and thunderstorms along our way.

However, a forecast for low IFR weather in that part of Maine led us to cancel it. I had no interest in flying one hour north only to be shut out of our destination by weather below minimums for the available instrument approach procedure. Still the better part of an hour away from home, weather conditions were concerning.

Not an ideal weather to fly in but at least I was flying in a more comfortable class. There was some turbulence during the climb but nothing bad at all. Once we were cleared of the dreadful weather, the rest of the flight was smooth including the landing at Taipei airport. We were on final approach into Taipei Taoyuan Airport.

This year, a promising weather forecast featuring high freezing levels (expected to be 9,000+ feet) led to a decision to fly myself. The day before departure, satisfied that days of consistent weather forecasts reasonably assured a successful flight, I cancelled the rental car reservation. So that was of no help to me.

This is the area of Rossio Santa Maria Maior The view is absolutely stunning especially in good weather. Although the weather looks good, it was also another windy day. About 40 minutes on the aircraft, we were finally on our way, no updates from the Captain until later part of the flight. Goodbye Lisbon, until next time!

For the flight itself, after take off at Delhi, we encountered quite a bit of turbulence and also more turbulence happened during the crossing through the Bay of Bengal. At least when we started our descent, the weather was much better, descending and landing in smooth condition. We were flying in good weather at this point.

The Captain made his announcement and gave us update on the weather on route and for the announcments by the cabin crew, it was done in 5 languages including the Taiwanese dialect. Take off was slightly turbulent but eventually the weather improved after flying out of Japan. On final approach We touched down 13 minutes late.

I did a check on the weather and I noticed how windy the condition is at Lisbon so one thing for sure, this was probably a bumpy flight. Once we were on our way, we encountered some expected turbulence especially flying through the clouds but once we reached our assigned flight level, it was smooth all the way until we were on final approach.

I have tried to wait out a storm only to watch a bigger and badder one to move in and the overall weather situation getting worse. We should make more pro-active use of our radios to warn other aviators of threatening weather. They are also not limited to summer soaring weather. Are dry microbursts really invisible?

This was my flight's final assigned gate. I spotted another green stripes livery on this A330-900neo on final approach to this airport. Announcement was made by the Captain about our flight which we would to expect some turbulence especially along the way but no mention about the flight delay. Goodbye Frankfurt!

We hit some light turbulence during our descent. On final approach to SZB's runway 15. It was not a bad day for flying. Singapore's sea traffic is usually busy. Not long after, we started our descent into Subang Airport. We touched down ahead of schedule. This is my first water cannon salute experience.

However I decided to keep it till the hotel to enjoy as I didn't want to make a mess out of it (snack with gravy sauce) as the space was quite limited and I didn't want to spill or splash any gravy onto the neighbour in case if there is sudden turbulence. The Captain made the welcome speech and gave us a good update on our flight and the expected turbulence during take-off. After take off, there was some bumps especially flying through the clouds but once we were out of Greece, the weather improved and for the rest of the flight, it was smooth. A big kudos to the ground staff for that!

However, he mentioned that there was turbulence along the way, not a surprise especially June to October period is usually the typhoon season and bad weather is quite common. I wonder whether was it because of the bad weather on route that caused us to push back late. The weather at Singapore at that time was pleasant.

Usually it gets turbulent at the bay of Bengel but not on this flight. On final approach to LHR runway 27 Left. It was certainly a great day for flying, the weather on route was excellent. The weather at London was certainly gloomy but at least I had a good view of the city before landing.

As this was the first time sitting quite front in the Boeing 767-400ER, I find it to be quite noisy during take off and there was quite a bit of turbulence during the flight. At this point, the flight was smooth thanks to the good weather. At this point, we were on final approach to runway 31L. Welcome back to the U.S!
