So its been upgraded with a pair of Garmin G5 EFIS displays and a GTN 650 mated to a GTX 345 Mode S transponder. There were only five stall-related accidents, most on high density altitude takeoffs at or near gross weight. Even though the CFI immediately firewalled the throttle, a wingtip hit the ground and ended the flight.

Its even better here, with generous hip- and legroom between the convex doors and the structural center console that runs from the firewall through the cabin to the baggage bulkhead. Flight Design can will the F2 with a GTN 650 in place of the 175, though Gutmann says hes also looking into using the Garmin GNX 375 GPS/transponder.
