So its been upgraded with a pair of Garmin G5 EFIS displays and a GTN 650 mated to a GTX 345 Mode S transponder. Even though the CFI immediately firewalled the throttle, a wingtip hit the ground and ended the flight. So they wouldnt get dizzy, they kept an older Bendix/King KX 155 nav/com and the KMA 24 audio panel.

Post-accident assessment of the aircraft revealed substantial damage to the auxiliary power unit (APU) firewall bulkhead, resulting from the aircrafts aft fuselages contact with the runway surface. The aircraft was subsequently repaired and returned to service. No hay heridos.
