We consider that reassuring when the weather becomes turbulent. The big change in the AX is the avionics suite, with an upgrade to the Garmin G1000 NXi integrated flight deck, including Autothrottle and Autoland. Epic advertises the flight deck as designed for pilots as tall as 6-foot-8.

With wider availability of airborne connectivity, having integration of remote weather (such as satellite, turbulence, or Next Generation Weather Radar [NEXRAD]) ahead of planned flight routes is a significant boost to safety and efficiency. Incredibly, some countries still do not digitize their AIPs and NOTAMs.
