Spoilers were armed while the reverse thrust was deployed to slow the aircraft. As for the Air France's A220-300, they are certainly a good upgrade over the older narrow-body aircraft such as the A318 and A319. We made a few turns during our descent to follow the traffic in preparation for landing. Touched down!

This likely has some impact on P&W’s little 150-lb-thrust TJ-150 engine, currently marketed for drones and missiles. However, P&W has been eyeing a possible market in the USAF’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft. The aircraft is scheduled to fly in the 2030s. This too is now up in the air.

Hot air rises, cold air sinks) The 2-2 business class seats is a definite welcome to all narrow-body aircraft especially for a 5-hour flight like mine, the lie-flat bed function is certainly welcoming. Reverse thrusts were deployed and our aircraft slowed down to taxi speed. This is due to convection.

Both reportedly delivered the required 25% better fuel efficiency, 10% more thrust, and better thermal management. They could provide maximum thrust on demand and an economy mode for 30% more range or 40% more loiter time over target. The first test is set for 2026, with aircraft in the field expected 3 years later.
