Check NOTAMs for temporary closures marked with yellow Xs. The Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM) defines the touchdown zone as the first 3,000 feet of the runway beginning at the threshold, and the touchdown zone markers are spaced 500 ft apart. Yellow taxiway and holding markings prevent runway incursions.
