I Am UNSAFE Checklist—Lessons Learned on a Fateful Night

Air Facts

The ATIS called out the overcast at 800 AGL, the minimum I needed (mistake #5not mine, but it counted anyway.) As I crossed the runway threshold, it was solid IMC and I had to go missed. RNAV Approaches Simplified: A Guide for New Pilots

Pilot Institute

Theyre pretty much the same thing, but heres the difference: DH is measured above the ground (AGL). The minima table lists the DA and Height Above Threshold for each type of RNAV approach. LPV is the most accurate RNAV approach and can get you as low as 200 feet above the ground (AGL), just like an ILS Category I approach.
