A United Airlines flight was on descent into Newark Liberty International Airport on Thursday, October 28, when, as it was nearing 2,200 feet above sea level, it encountered a bird strike as it approached runway 22L. ANA takes a unique approach to its A380s, as the airline has three of these, referred to as the Flying Honu. Its not as over-the-top as Japan Airlines new A350 first class , but then again, that wouldnt even be a good option for these routes, which are heavily leisure oriented (where the 1-1-1 configuration isnt ideal).

British Airways must have one of the worlds most improved business class products, as the airline has rolled out its new Club Suites business class on many aircraft types, including Heathrow-based 777s. We had a roughly 15 minute taxi, and at 6:30PM we made it to runway 1R, where we were immediately cleared for takeoff.

There wasn't a lot of options for me as the likes of Starflyer and Fuji Dream Airlines do not fly on this route so in the end I decided to stick with Air Do and the 767-300ER and taking a risk of flying back on the same aircraft. Currently, this airport host both domestic and international flights and have 4 runways in operation.

That strategy seems to be a success, probably thanks to the great experience, the small cabin, the limited number of planes with first class , and the fact that the airline is based in Paris (a city popular with people who are willing to drop five figures on an airline ticket).

Admittedly this isnt quite as cutting edge as some of ANAs wide body aircraft (or Japan Airlines A350-900 first class ), but for a narrow body, it was perfectly nice, and I wouldnt hesitate to fly this product again. As a matter of fact, the flight I took was the only nonstop flight that day between the two airports on a full service airline.

I dont think theres an airline with better stocked amenity kits than Emirates. Ordinarily, the airline only offers these on flights of over nine hours. However, since this is a fifth freedom flight that continues to Dubai, the airline offers them to all passengers on this sector, which is a nice touch.
