On more than one occasion, I landed from a non–“stable approach,” being both below and above target approach speeds. Should I treat every VFR hop like I’m departing into low IMC with a 10,000-foot density altitude at max gross weight? Do I have to be within ±1 knot and ±10 feet on every approach?

Hurghada Approach passed us off to Cairo Control and they refused to give us a direct to the first Saudi VOR WEJ at the east side of the Red Sea due to unknown reasons. We flew very high, and the heat (ISA +23°C) that further drove up our Density Altitude did not help for the oxygen saturation in our blood.

Temperature An increase in temperature will increase the density altitude. A high density altitude decreases the performance of the engine and the wing. Your aircraft will fly at a faster true airspeed at higher density altitudes. These obstacles frequently affect the approach and missed approach paths.

As we transitioned from Mobile to Pensacola Approach, I was able to grab the weather report at our final destination airport Destin Executive (KDTS). Approach switched me to Tower.

Density altitude was -1,800 feet. I picked up flight following with Dover as I approached Delaware Coastal. I set up four cameras this morning so I hope the video turns out interesting and entertaining. I roll for take off at 7:45 sunrise was 7:16. The ride was smooth and 3 Tango Charlie made very good power on departure.

A mechanic said that he had been approached by his supervisor and asked to verify the torque application on the tail rotor mast nut on the helicopter. It was clear that the Director of Maintenance had not, in fact, bolted the tail rotor crosshead drive plate to the tail rotor crosshead.

At 5:12 pm, 5 hours and 12 minutes into the flight, Shmulik was 10 miles north of the airport of Meeker, CO at an altitude of 14,300 ft, when he decided to turn south, back towards Rifle, ~45 miles away.
