UK bids farewell to Boeing 757 passenger flights after 42 years of service

The 757 provided an advanced, two-man cockpit with high-technology digital displays. There are, however, still around 270 that continue to operate cargo-only flights. Michel Gilliand / Wikimedia Commons Boeing built 1,050 757s between 1982 and 2004, and according to ch-aviation, only around 210 continue to fly passengers.

In widespread use as a cargo aircraft, they were in use with quite a few “feeder” cargo operators. The F27 now had the registration TC-MBG and was operated by MNG Airlines, a Turkish air cargo airline established in 1996 to offer scheduled cargo flights to Germany and England. I flew the F27 until 2003.
