The aircraft had to land into a 15-knot crosswind, and the plane landed at a speed of 115 mph, well below the standard landing speed of between 150-175 mph. In 2015, the aircraft was temporarily lowered from the ceiling to the floor of the museum in order to conduct a 3D scan of the aircraft (which we covered HERE ).

When I arrived, Northeast Philly Airport was not only extremely busy ("Negative, Ghost Rider, the pattern is full") but everyone was landing with a gusty 20 knot crosswind. It was great to reach Philly so quickly, but the ride there was a rough one.
