Malaysia Airlines doubles A330neo order to 40 aircraft

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines, has exercised options for 20 additional Airbus A330-900neo wide-body jets, doubling its existing commitment from 20 to a total of 40 aircraft. The new order adds to MAG’s original 2022 agreement, which included 10 directly purchased A330neos and 10 leased from Avolon. The first four A330neos are already in service, operating on routes such as Kuala Lumpur–Melbourne, Auckland, and Bali.
