If you’ve flown in a Garmin glass cockpit with synthetic vision, then you may have seen the Pathways feature, a series of constantly moving rectangles on the primary flight display (PFD). One is flying arrivals, and the other is flying visual approaches.

An autopilot and Aspen primary flight display reduce workload on long flights. The fixed-base operator (Regional Jet Center) filled up our fuel tanks and provided complimentary hot dogs and ice cream for brunch. The approach and taxi are time compressed; the landing is normal speed.
