Engine thrust setting values and auto throttles require data from the TAT probe. As per ATC, the aircraft departed from Ahmedabad at 1339 IST (0809 UTC) from Runway 23. This has happened before, and we just recently looked at an action slip by the pilot flying , who accidentally reduced thrust on take-off. It gave a MAYDAY call to ATC, but thereafter no response was given by the aircraft to the calls made by ATC.
